Hydropneumatics accumulators

One of the main tasks of the hydraulic accumulator is to accumulate a
certain quantity of fluid under pressure from a hydraulic system and return
all or part of it to the system when required. For this reason, they are
considered pressure vessels and must be sized for the maximum operating
pressure. Accumulators with separation element between the fluid side and
the gas side, that are normally pre-loaded with nitrogen, are used in most
hydraulic systems.
